Do you have difficulty excercising?

Do you have difficulty exercising?

We all grow old, it is an inevitable part of life’s natural cycle. As individuals, we strive to delay this cycle. We all want to look young and healthy. Of course, there are many ways to achieve a young and healthy body. Doing sports, following a strict diet, jogging, cycling, or burning it up at the gym are some. Although it is generally accepted that spending time on workouts and strict dieting is the key to a fit and healthy body, it’s also not realistic that you can keep it up forever. Not being able to maintain this kind of lifestyle is likely to see you back in the couch potato zone very quickly.

Steve Holman is the editor-in-chief of the Iron Man Magazine and many other books about weight loss training and nutrition. Steve and his wife Becky Holman developed a program, especially for middle to higher-aged individuals that can help you create a desirable healthy body that will make you look younger and feel stronger. It’s called the Old School New Body program.

What is the Old School New Body program?

The Old School New Body program is a well-detailed exercise and diet program meant to help you change your eating and workout habits and at the same time help you to shape your body just the way you want it, safely and quickly. It comes with all the workout and exercise routines, along with nutritional information and a proper diet to follow. The core of the Old School New Body program is labeled as F4X protocol, which stands for “Focus 4 Exercises”.

These 4 main exercises have been picked as they are proven to be the most effective and efficient. Primarily these are squats, incline press, bent-over rows, and upright rows. Don’t worry if all that sounds like hard work or even if it makes no sense to you at all. All will be revealed in the program.

F4X protocol is divided into 3 phases using the same 4 main exercises to achieve results.

Phase 1 is lean, is somewhat a warm-up for the muscles to develop, using the F4X exercises with a few variations in the movement style and diet, usually performed for 30 minutes, 3 times a week.

Phase 2 shapes, as you now have achieved some fat loss on phase 1, phase 2 will help you put more muscles on your body frame using the F4X core exercises, but, with a small change on the workout style and nutrition plan and performed for 45 minutes, 3 times a week.

Phase 3, build, is adding more lean muscles, especially to men who want to look more buff (and who doesn’t). Again using the F4X core exercises but with a bit of tweaking of the workouts and diet and performed for 30 minutes, 4 times a week.

In practical terms following the F4X protocol is entirely up to you. In this system, you have all the control. You don’t need to follow all the phases. You can work what suits you personally.

As I mentioned this is made for those who are short of time and for elderly people to be able to use it easily.

Additionally, the Old School New Body program comes with its F4X diet plan. The F4X diet plan will teach you how to eat the right foods during your weight loss program without restricting your favorite foods. The F4X diet provides a lot of information on proper nutrition, calorie consumption, nutrients, healthy fats and carbs, proteins, and how to eat for maximum weight loss. The Old School New Body also has a diet guide with a complete meal plan and portion sizes for you to follow.

PROS: The Old School New Body program is all eating naturally and unlike other workout and nutrition guides that focus on intense activities to reap a good result. It promotes easy and compact activities that are really doable even for those later in life.

CONS: More pictures or videos of exercises should be added for easier use. F4X requires a lot of effort on the user’s part to achieve the desired body. Don’t expect immediate results. This program is not about rapid weight loss. It is more about steady, progressive improvement.

“Over the past decade, Becky and I have developed a men and women’s workout system that we call F4X Training System. This is a revolutionary way of combining four specific exercises done in literally a matter of minutes. That’s ALL YOU NEED”
Steve Holman (Old School New Body Author)

“Water isn’t just “good for you” — water burns fat. Water suppresses hunger. Water renews your skin. Just drinking 12 ounces of pure water every day can take a few years off your face in a matter of weeks.”
Steve & Becky Holman (Old School New Body Authors)

CONCLUSION: Overall, the Old School New Body program is flexible enough for all ages. It uses a very sensible methodology. No fancy tricks or science here just solid great advice on how to eat properly and exercise properly. It makes no difference if you are a gym enthusiast or not this program can be fit you perfectly. Both the authors are 50 plus of age and still look great.
